Chief Investment Officer, Creation Capital

Freddy joined Creation Capital in 2022 and holds the position of Chief Investment Officer.  Freddy is an experienced debt investment specialist, with 12 years of experience in investment banking and asset management (credit fund and specialised finance) on the African continent. Freddy traded extensively in USD and ZAR denominated debt instruments such as loans, bonds, structured credit products and currency hedges across various industry sectors, including commercial real estate.
Freddy completed his articles at KPMG in the financial services audit division. He worked for Sanlam (the largest insurance company in Africa – listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Namibian Stock Exchange and the A2X) as a Debt Structurer, Portfolio Manager and briefly as an Investment Banker for Absa-Group Limited (listed on JSE and one of Africa’s largest diversified financial services groups, with a presence in 12 countries).

Freddy is a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA), holds a B.Comm Accounting Honours degree from the University of Johannesburg and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
