Siegfried Uken
Head of property, Creation Capital
Siegfried, a property executive, holds the position of Head of Property for Creation Capital. He developed his property skills in the banking sector, with 23 years of banking experience in Property Asset Management, Commercial Property Finance, Wealth Management and Private Banking. Siegfried studied accountancy at UNISA and completed his articles at Fisher Hoffman Sithole (now PKF). In 1997, he joined Investec Private Bank to commence his banking career in dealing with high-net-worth individuals’ financial requirements. He went on to work at Standard Private Bank as a Wealth Manager and later joined RMB Private Bank’s advisory team to further his banking skills. A common property thread emerged in the wealthy customer base, enabling his focus on all property type transactions. In 2013, Siegfried was appointed as the National Head of First National Bank’s Commercial Property Finance division. In 2015, he made a strategic shift to head up First National Bank’s Investment Property Division and to manage the bank’s national head office footprint, including their reach into Africa. He was responsible for the bank’s property investment decision-making, property asset management function and their space planning initiatives. In 2020, Siegfried stepped down to further his career in property consulting and advisory services. He is passionate about urban property transformation and has served as director on a CBD improvement partnership, as well as a volunteer to a township upliftment NGO. Siegfried holds a BCompt Honours degree, a Certificate in Theory of Accounting and a Certified Financial Planning degree.
