Gerrit joined Creation Capital in 2017 and chairs its Portfolio Committee. With over 20 years of experience in strategy, leadership, governance, finances, and taxation, he brings valuable expertise to the team and has worked across multiple industries, including services, manufacturing, education, and logistics.
Gerrit has been a director of POPUP Upliftment NPC (“POPUP”) since 2000. Under his leadership, the organisation was restructured into a more focused, outcomes-orientated skills development provider. Passionate about empowering young people, he actively supports initiatives that help create better futures.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Gerrit completed his articles with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC). He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a BCom Honours, and a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting. Gerrit is also a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
