PROF. MARK SWILLING
Non-Executive Director, Creation Capital
Mark Swilling is Distinguished Professor of Sustainable Development in the Centre for Sustainability Transitions (CST) in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, University of Stellenbosch and Co-Director of the CST, and as from September 2021 Visiting Research Professor at the Environmental Justice Programme, Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
AZOLA MAYEKISO
Non-Executive Director, Creation Capital
Azola joined the CCI board in 2023. She is currently CEO of a national institution that provides innovative and affordable housing finance solutions for the low-to-middle income market. She has over 15 years experience in the financial services sector, which includes a significant tenure as CEO of Sanlam Investment Management where she played a pivotal role in driving the company’s transformation objectives and fostering business growth.

FREDDY MAGORO
Chief Investment Officer, Creation Capital
Freddy is a Chartered Accountant who joined Creation Capital in 2022 and holds the position of Chief Investment Officer. He is a seasoned debt investment specialist with nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry, specifically in specialist financing, asset management, finance, and investment banking. He has transacted in South Africa and selected countries across the African continent.
HEINRICH ODENDAAL
Deputy Chairman, Creation Capital
Heinrich co-founded Creation Capital in 2017 and has held leadership roles in the asset and investment management industry since 1998. He practiced as an attorney in South Africa before being admitted as an Advocate of the High Court in 2002.
GERRIT HEYMANS
Chief Financial Officer, Creation Capital
Gerrit joined Creation Capital in 2017 and chairs its Portfolio Committee. With over 20 years of experience in strategy, leadership, governance, finances, and taxation, he brings valuable expertise to the team and has worked across multiple industries, including services, manufacturing, education, and logistics.
